The Brand Diagnostic
Every page in your diagnostic is built to answer one question: where is your brand losing people and why?
Every Greenehouse engagement starts with a $500 diagnostic. We review your website, your social profiles, your Google presence, and your competitors, then score your brand across several dimensions and walk you through every finding and steps to fix it.
The Brand Diagnostic
A lot of agencies offer "free audits" or "complimentary brand reviews." They're not diagnostics. They're sales tools designed to scare you into a retainer. The findings are vague on purpose. Just specific enough to make you nervous, never specific enough to actually act on without hiring them. If it's free, you're not the client. You're the lead.
Before Greenehouse does anything, we do this. No strategy. No proposals. No "let's get started on your website." Every single engagement begins with the diagnostic because anything built without it is guesswork. And you've already paid for enough guesswork.
Most agencies will hop on a call, hear your problems, and send you a proposal the same week. They're already scoping work before they've looked at your website, your competitors, your messaging, your social presence, any of it. They're prescribing treatment before running a single test. You wouldn't accept that from a doctor. You shouldn't accept it from someone you're trusting with your brand.
What You Actually Get
Every page in your diagnostic is built to answer one question: where is your brand losing people and why?
Your Overall Brand Health Score A single number out of ten. Your honest starting point and a benchmark to measure progress against.
Research Scope We show you exactly what we reviewed. Your website, your Google Business listing, your social accounts, and the specific competitors we analyzed. You see screenshots of what we looked at so you know every finding is based on real data.
Score Summary Each dimension gets its own score out of ten with a plain-language explanation of what the overall number means for your business.
Brand Consistency We compare your website, your social profiles, your Google listing, and every other public-facing touchpoint to see whether they tell the same story and look like the same business. We flag where the narrative fractures, where the visuals don't match, and what that inconsistency signals to a potential customer.
Messaging Clarity We read your homepage, your about page, your social bios, and your Google listing the way a first-time visitor would. Can they tell what you do in five seconds? Can they tell who it's for? Is there an obvious next step? We score each one and show you the exact language that's causing confusion.
Competitive Differentiation We pull actual messaging from your competitors' websites and put it next to yours. If the language is interchangeable, that's the problem. We identify the specific advantage you own that nobody else in your market is claiming and show you where it should be leading your brand.
The Real-World Cost We pull your search rankings, review scores, social engagement, website traffic, and conversion paths. Then we connect each one back to the messaging gaps. This is where you see what unclear messaging is actually costing you in real data.
Competitive Landscape Map We plot you and your competitors on a visual chart based on messaging clarity and competitive distinctiveness. You see exactly where you sit and how much room there is to move.
Message Clarity Test We test your website against three questions a visitor asks within five seconds. What do you do. Who it's for. How do I start. Each one scored as present, unclear, or missing. Your total out of three tells you whether your homepage is doing its job.
Audience Alignment We describe in specific terms who your brand is currently attracting and who you actually want. Then we show you where the signal is getting crossed.
Top 3 Priority Gaps The three most impactful findings ranked by what will move the needle most. Specific, named, with clear explanations of why each one matters more than the others right now.
Debrief Call One hour with our team where we walk through every finding, answer your questions, and tell you exactly what to prioritize first. No jargon. A clear, specific picture of where your brand stands today.
The whole thing costs $500.
Why We Won't Skip It
We've been asked before if we can skip the diagnostic. We won't. We've seen what happens when agencies skip it. They build websites on broken messaging. They run ads without knowing who the real audience is. They post content without understanding what makes the business different. Then six months later the client is frustrated and the agency is blaming the budget.
Even if you come to us knowing exactly what you want built, we start here. Every decision we make after this point is sharper when it's informed by what the diagnostic finds. The strategy is more focused. The execution hits harder. The money goes to the right places.
And If You Don't Hire Us After, That's Fine
The diagnostic is yours. Completely. Every score, every finding, every gap, every recommendation. If you take it to another agency, they'll have a better starting point than they've ever gotten from a client. If you hand it to your internal team, they'll know exactly what to prioritize instead of guessing. If you sit on it for six months and come back when you're ready, it'll still be the most useful document anyone's ever produced about your brand.
We built it that way on purpose. The diagnostic should be valuable whether you hire us or not. If it's only useful as a sales tool to get you into a retainer, it's not a real diagnostic. It's a pitch in disguise.
And sometimes the diagnostic tells us something too. Sometimes we look at the findings and realize the gaps aren't in our wheelhouse, or the business needs something we're not the right fit for. When that happens, we say so. We'd rather point you in the right direction than sell you something that won't work.
Our diagnostic is the answer to the question every business owner needs to ask: what is my brand costing me?
